So, the Astros didn't win the World Series - what more could you expect? They have had a PHENOMINAL year this year...especially coming back from a 15-30 record, to clinch the Wild Card, then to go on past those pesky Braves, and get past the best team in the Central Division - the Cardinals, to go to the World Series for the first time in franchise history!
My hats are off to those boys - they played hard and with their hearts, but it just wasn't their destiny to win the World Series this year! My hats off to a superb team in the White Sox - they deserve to be the winners this year. They were the better team in 2005...
If anything, I hope that people realize that this Houston Astros team is made up of some real strong, dedicated, worthy individuals, and they accomplished a lot this year - all because they were a TEAM...they helped each other get to where they got to this year! Hopefully people won't count them out as early as they have in the past!
The Astros deserve the recognition of this city, it's fans, and the nation! I can't WAIT for next season! Hip hip hooray! What a team! What a team!!
