The Light at the End of the Tunnel...

The light at the end of MY tunnel today is firmly planted on the word of God.
3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. 4 Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. 5 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. 6 So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.[a] 7 He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. 8 He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.
- Ephesians 1:3-8 (NLT)
All though some of us may not be happy with this new day that God has given us, with this new president-elect, this new change he wishes to implement, the thing that I can't help but fall back on is this:
9 God has now revealed to us his mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill his own good pleasure. 10 And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth.11 Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God,[b] for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.
- Ephesians 1:9-11 (NLT)
Whether it is today, tomorrow, next year, or by the end of the presidential term...always remember, that God is in control...that we need to serve Him as ONE BODY OF CHRIST. That is our responsibility as Christians...to do His will every day, and His blessings will fall on this great nation and earth. Yes, this is a new day in history, the face of presidents will change, but this country was founded on one thing...ONE NATION UNDER GOD...and I cannot stress how important it is for us not to dwell on the negatives, but to pursue the postives. I have always been a "half glass full" kind of girl...those are fundamentals that have been taught to me...and I am looking forward to not what one man can bring forth for this country... but for what God has in store for us as a nation...one UNITED STATES of America!
1 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleases God our Savior.
- 1 Timothy 2:1-3 (NLT)
