Today I carpooled with my sister -in-law, Amanda. It was kind of quiet, but then again, it was 7:45 in the morning when I picked her up. We took Emalynn to the babysitter's house, and made our way in to work. Of course, I was running behind by about 15 minutes! I should have been at Amanda's home around 7:30. Oh well. It's not very easy to just get up and go, as I am certainly not a morning person, and I have learned, neither is my daughter!
Considering I haven't been waking up until 7:45 workday mornings, it was pretty tough getting up at 7. It took me all of about 3 or 4 minutes to get Emalynn ready, when I hear my phone go off. I have a Nextel phone, and so does Amanda, and there she was, radioing me at 7:30. I told her I was on the way, and I was...to getting Emalynn in the truck. Then I head out and am stuck behind this stupid Wal-Mart truck wanting to turn onto Northpark...but of course, there is car after car just zooming by. Needless to say, I cut across the Neighborhood Wal-Mart (which is great, BTW...it was finished being built right before Emalynn was born) parking lot, and headed down Northpark to be confronted by a long line of cars!! OMG...it took me 15 minutes to get down a 5 minute road!
And there you have it...my day was thrown off...all over 15 minutes!!!
