Speaking of change, I need a new kitchen table! We have had the one we have since before Jon and I got married. We will be celebrating our 8 year anniversary in January ~ so, yes, the kitchen table we have is old! It's a glass top, so Jon is going to use it to finally make shelves for my beautiful entertainment center he made for me last year! Whew, hew!
So, Emalynn and I went and had breakfast with Uncle Joe and Aunt Manda Saturday morning, because the night before, Joe and Jon went and played poker in South Houston and Jon had to take someone home and it was really late, so he didn't come home until Saturday noonish. That's ok ~ he met us at Denny's and hung out with us for a little while. Then Joe, Manda, me and Emalynn went to Finger's to look at kitchen tables and a little bed for Emalynn's room. It was a great experience...I really like a table I saw there and am going to have Jon meet me there one day this week to check it out. AND, we found the cutest little bed for Emalynn! The funny thing is, when we pulled up next to it (Emma was in her stroller), she wanted out, and I took her out, and she went next to the bed and said "MINE"...now tell that little girl she can't have that bed...thank God it was the one I want to get for her. Now the only dilemma is, do I get a twin bed or a full size bed?
Sunday was a great day of relaxing and spending some time as a family. It was just Jon, me and Emalynn. We watched some football, grilled some great steaks (I'll give credit where it belongs...thank you honey), and just chilled! I love Sundays!!!
