what does that mean, you ask? That means that we have finally figured out what, when and where we are getting together for Thanksgiving and Christmas for 2004.
We came to the conclusion that Thanksgiving would be at my house this year. Which is fine...because starting this year we will be rotating houses out for Thanksgiving. So mine will be first, and it'll be a couple of years before it's back! I will supply the turkey, because for some reason, my turkey is the preferred turkey. Maybe I'll give you the recipe...
As far as Christmas, we will celebrate together with the entire Redmann family on the Saturday prior to Christmas at Mimi and Granddad's house every year. As far as Christmas Day, each family will be able to celebrate Christmas morning with the fun traditions and the wonderful feeling on Christmas morning. We all decided that we would get together as a family, later in the afternoons on Christmas day.
As far as what the decision is regarding present exchange...we decided that each person would purchase one gift up to a $25 limit, gender neutral, so that we could do a white elephant exchange. And everyone is open to purchasing presents for the children (grandchildren).
The meeting Saturday was great...and a comfortable decision has been made without hurting anyone's feelings.
