was a little stressful. Amanda, Emalynn and I went shopping Friday evening...that was lots of fun! We went to Michaels, and to Target. We got items to decorate my house with, and stuff to put into stockings we are making ~ I'll tell you more about that later. We took Emalynn to see Christmas lights and she oooed and ahhhed the entire time...kept saying "Cool" with her mouth wide open and pointing at the lights! Once we got home, Amanda and I wrapped the trees with red ribbon.
Saturday, we just hung out around the house. Attempted to put the tree up, but that didn't work...we were pretty lazy. And that's ok...it's good to have some time to just lay around and do nothing.
Sunday, Joe and Amanda came over in the afternoon. By then, I had vacuumed the living room and dining room, to get ready to start decorating and putting the tree up. When Joe and Amanda showed up, we had the tree assembled...it just needed to be decorated. Amanda made my wreath that hangs on the door, and we put the lights up on the tree and I put the beads up on the tree along with the berries. I'm hoping to get the ornaments up on the tree by Friday. We decorated the mantle above the fireplace and hung the stockings, and also decorated the bar area. Amanda finished putting up the lights around the trees outside...sort of looks like candy canes!
It's looking pretty festive at my house now! Whoo hoo! I love the Christmas season!
