Emalynn is going to spend the night at my mother-in-law's house tonight. So, Jonathon and I decided we would go catch a movie. Considering we never try to go watch movies anymore, we normally go when we have opportunities like this.
The main reason why Emalynn is spending the night at Mimi's house is so that Jonathon and I can clean up our freakin' house! It's a mess. I am talking everything from the back room to our bedroom. So, we may be going to watch a movie tonite, but that's not the end of our adventures! I made Red Beans and Rice for dinner tonite (had to cook it last night ~ but it took forever, so we'll eat it tonite). And then we'll probably start cleaning one of the rooms tonite...
Anyways...my point in all of this is, I will surely miss Emalynn. And I know that Jon and I will have a hard time going to sleep...or maybe we won't. Not that I wouldn't give her my heart and soul, but sometimes, I just need a break! The awesome thing is, though, is that Jon always is willing to take care of her so I can go to the store, or go to a girlfriend's house to scrap, or whatever. We split our time up so that he can have some "guy time" too. He loves to play poker, so whenever he wants to do that, the door's open.
It's hard for me to think that I won't see Emalynn until tomorrow evening...but I know we have a lot of tasks to handle before she comes back home. She takes up so much of our lives, that things like basic cleaning, or deep cleaning, can't be done when she's around. So we have to send her off to Mimi's house, or Aunt Manda's house to hang out. And she loves to do that...so that is good!
I think she's like me, in that, a different environment at different times, creates a totally different mood. And that's always nice!
